Scope of Approval
The scope of approval for UL 489 and UL 98 also varies. These standards include criteria for construction, dielectric voltage withstand, temperature rise, and mechanical endurance. UL 98 covers a wide range of disconnect switches, ensuring their safety and functionality before being approved for use.
